Tooty is an adorable, small chubby female bear with blue eyes, blonde hair tied in pigtails with purple hairbands, wears a red sleeveless shirt with a yellow star in the middle and purple trousers that strap her feet. She is sweet, kind, very beautiful and loves going on adventures with her big brother. She plays the piccolo in the introduction of the first game with Banjo and Kazooie playing a banjo and kazoo, respectively (along with Mumbo Jumbo on the saxophone, xylophone, and violin). She is friends with Bottles the Mole (who she calls "Mr. Mole"). Tooty was kidnapped by the envious Gruntilda who wants to steal her beauty, which would result in Gruntilda turning into a pretty witch and Tooty into an ugly monster. Tooty was rescued by Banjo as first prize in Grunty's Furnace Fun.
After Banjo-Kazooie, Tooty has not appeared in a game since. The only reference to Tooty seems to be a picture of her in Banjo's house and on a giant milk carton in Banjo-Tooie, in a traditional lost person ad. (Which is a reference to the fact she didn't appear in the game)
While Banjo-Kazooie was still in pre-production, the official Nintendo magazine, Nintendo Power, gave an overview of the game in which Tooty's original name was "Piccolo" and she was Banjo's girlfriend, not his sister. Tooty still plays a piccolo in the intro of the first game. Originally, Tooty was meant to be playable in her own mini-game near the ending of Banjo-Kazooie, but this project was scraped likely due to time restraints, and apparently never produced. She isn't a returning character in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.
