Kiddy Kong is the cousin and sidekick of Dixie in the games Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble and Donkey Kong Land III. He is also Tiny's cousin and Chunky's little brother. Although he is a toddler, he has immense strength and is nearly as big as Donkey Kong. He can throw Dixie extremely far; and when he is thrown by Dixie, he can smash through cracked floors.

One of the lesser known abilities Kiddy has is his rolling attack, if used correctly Dixie can ride on a rolling Kiddy for long distances and even bounce on water.

Kiddy was to make a reappearance as a playable character in the now apparently cancelled GameCube game, Donkey Kong Racing as revealed in the trailer for the game. Kiddy appears at the end of the trailer of the game where he can be riding Ellie in the middle with other creatures such as Neckies, Armies and Zingers following him and Ellie.

Trivia[]

  • Kiddy Kong is the first playable Kong in the Donkey Kong Country series to not have the initials “D.K.”. However, his Japanese name is Dinky Kong which have the initials D.K.
  • Kiddy Kong makes a cameo appearance in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. As part of the Great Kong Army, he is enlisted by Mario, Princess Peach and Toad to join the raid on Bowser. The Great Kong Army races along Rainbow Road on their way to Bowser's ship, but because of Bowser's prior knowledge of the attempted attack, they are ambushed by Bowser's army. Although it is still a minor appearance, this marks Kiddy Kong's first physical appearance in over 17 years since the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 3.
