Bottles is Jamjars's brother and is one of Banjo's dearest friends and teacher, however, this relationship is not shared with Kazooie.

History

Bottles is Banjo's friend and neighbor in Banjo-Kazooie. He is shown at the beginning talking with Tooty, and is actually present when the she-cub is kidnapped. Thus, he is the one who actually informs Banjo that Gruntilda kidnapped his sister. Throughout the game Bottles will teach Banjo and Kazooie moves to help them defeat the witch.

He harbors a resentment against Kazooie, one that seems to have started before the events of Banjo-Kazooie had begun. This resentment is carried on to his Brother Jamjars.

Bottles uses Molehills to teach the duo, as opposed to his brothers mechanical silo's.

Tragically, Bottles is killed in Banjo-Tooie. He is shown playing cards with Banjo, Kazooie, and Mumbo Jumbo at Banjo's house. He is beating Kazooie, but she cheats by saying Gruntilda is at the window. When Gruntilda actually does come back, Bottles think it is a trick, so stays in the house, as Gruntilda blows it up. The others are outside, staring at Banjo's wrecked home, when they notice a charred Bottles waddling out of the rubble and collapsing. However, much in the form of Wrinkly Kong, Bottles does not die but becomes a spirit. He then helps Banjo and Kazooie remember their moves from the first game. The Player can view his decaying body lying on the ground, and when talked to Bottles' ghost, he will tell them to hurry up and get his body back.

He is finally revived at the end of the game, and returns home late for supper, thus resulting in an angry Mrs. Bottles telling him that, no matter how burnt the food was, he's still eating it.

He returned as an unlockable driver in Banjo-Pilot and the fastest one, similar to T.T. in Diddy Kong Racing.

Devil Bottles

• In the game Viva Piñata, players can purchase a pair of glasses named "Bottles' Glasses".
• In Banjo-Tooie, Bottles was going to be a playable character. In a special mode called Bottles Revenge, Bottles' ghost would transform into a devil-like build, aptly named Devil Bottles. This character could be controlled by player two. Devil Bottles could possess enemies to help or hinder Banjo's progress. This idea was scrapped late in development. However, Devil Bottles appears alongside many other characters as a face in the Tower of Tragedy quiz.
• In Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, one of the buttons on bottles's coat greatly resembles a ? Block from the Super Mario Series.
